Full-Time 2-Year MBA

A master’s degree in business administration is the most effective way to cope up with the constantly evolving and increasingly complex industry. An MBA brings a world of opportunities to your doorsteps that will certainly boost your career.

One of the most extensive ways to earn this postgraduate degree is by enrolling in a full-time course. This program is especially designed to develop the skills required in your field. Learn all the secrets of accounting, business management, economics, global management, finance, marketing, e-commerce or entrepreneurship in just two years.

ADVANTAGES

Enrolling in a two-year MBA curriculum is the best option for professionals who want to take some time out to strengthen their skills and abilities. The course is spread over a period of two years with a two-month break in-between. If you come from a course that is completely unrelated to business or economics, your best chance of getting an MBA program is through this traditional program.

  • Flexible Schedules - This traditional MBA program allows you to customize your course load according to your preference. Although most of the core subjects are immovable, the electives give you flexibility to fit your other regular commitments during the school year.
  • Network Connections - Gaining new acquaintances during your stay at a business school will give your career the advantage it needs in the future. Additionally, peer connections and networking play a vital role if you intend to continue your studies and enroll in an Executive MBA program after a few years. (Tips on how to build a network)
  • Leadership Training - Full-time MBA programs can elevate your leadership ability by focusing on ethics and core values. Learn organizational strategy by developing your decision-making skills. These preparations are necessary preparations for real-life business situations once you finish school.
  • Novel Approach - Taking notes all day isn’t always the most effective way to learn. In a program that takes two years to complete, being trapped in a classroom the whole time can be monotonous and boring. To keep students interested, several activities are held outside the classroom, such as international trips and team building activities. Likewise, there are numerous internship opportunities during the summer where you can learn new concepts that will prepare you for employment after graduation.
  • Big Rewards - Enrolling in a two-year curriculum exposes you to the full MBA experience. Compared to other methods, this program offers a diverse range of career placement options in different fields. You no longer have to wait for decades to reach your career goals. High-level positions will start looking for you after you complete your two-year course.

LIMITATIONS

Despite being the most comprehensive path towards an MBA degree, a full-time program has its limits. As a result, other methods like distance learning and accelerated programs have been created. Here are a couple of reasons why a two-year MBA program may not be in your best interest.

  • High Costs - MBA degrees aren’t cheap as prestige often comes with a price. Expect to spend at least six-figures during your entire stint in an MBA program. This is the main reason why people seek alternative ways of getting an MBA degree. Although scholarship openings are plenty, you still need to spend for lodging, books and daily supplies. Generally, only professionals who were required by their employers to take the program have the necessary resources to complete a two-year MBA course. (Get help by learning how to get a student loan)
  • Tough Schedule - Being in a two-year MBA program is like going back to school again, only tougher. If you aren’t certain on what you want to do in the future, getting into this program may only be a waste of time and resources. This extensive postgraduate course requires full-time commitment and dedication. Consequently, you probably have to take a leave from work if you want to get your degree on time.

CURRICULUM

The curriculum for each business school slightly differs from one another. Some are gradual in their approach, while others are fast-paced. In the end, the main objective of MBA schools is to impart the necessary skills to help you move forward in your career. Here is an overview of what to expect in a two-year MBA program.

  • First Year - The first year provides a general overview on the nuts and bolts of the business industry. A series of activities on teamwork, strategy and effective leadership are lined up throughout the year. As the levels progress, you get to study more advanced concepts and creative techniques in preparation for your second year.
  • Second Year -During your second and final year, you will focus on your specific field and interests through electives. You build on the lessons you learned during your first year by understanding deeper ideas and situations. Once you graduate, you can now apply everything you have studied in the real world.

An MBA program is a tremendous experience for professionals who have well-defined career goals and the commitment to complete the two years. Although a two-year course is costly, the returns are generous and rewarding. If you want to make a guaranteed investment, acquiring an MBA degree is the safest way to go.

I wish I can enroll in a full-time MBA course but as it is, I am already supporting myself and my family so I really don’t have the time to be off work.

Well, being in that situation may not allow you to get a full time MBA unless your wife is willing to work for at least the duration you’re in the program. But there are a lot of other options on the site you can try.

What can you say?
