Gonzaga University is a private university located in Spokane, Washington. It was founded in 1887, and enrolls around 5,400 students in various undergraduate and graduate programs. The university was named after the 16th century Italian Jesuit, Aloysius Gonzaga, who died in Rome trying to save young people in Prague, and was later named the patron saint of the youth. Gonzaga University aims to provide its students with the Ignatian education, brought about by the Jesuit influence. They aim to give to students a holistic education, that includes the mind, body and spirit; which is actually an “integration of science and art, faith and reason, action and contemplation.” Through its six colleges and schools, Gonzaga University fulfills its mission to provide its students with a holistic education, centered on the concern for others. Among the schools at Gonzaga University is the School of Business Administration. The school offers graduate studies like the Master of Business Administration. The MBA degree program can be completed in a part time schedule. There are many kinds of MBA programs offered at the Gonzaga School of Business Administration. The MBA in American Indian Entrepreneurship is an MBA with a purpose. It pays particular attention to American Indian Entrepreneurship. Its purpose is to stimulate the development of small business on American Indian reservations. The program is designed to educate tribal college faculty to teach entrepreneurial business classes to Native Americans. The program can be completed in 3 years, and will go a long way in providing education to the Native Americans. The MBA in Coeur d'Alene is an MBA program which can be taken at the Lewis-Clark State College-Coeur d'Alene. This is convenient for those living in North Idaho, Spokane Valley, and Liberty Lake areas. The participant can complete half of the program in Coeur d'Alene and may continue the other courses on line. The Distance MBA program is available to both residents and non-residents of Spokane, Washington.
