Abilene Christian University is a private University which is affiliated with Churches of Christ. Founded in 1906, it is located in Abilene, Texas, and was initially named Childers Classical Institute. Though the name may have changed, their mission remains the same – that of educating students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. Abilene Christian University offers both undergraduate and graduate studies. It has a variety of programs that addresses students' differing needs and interests.
